The undertaking of my first book, Astrology and the Seventh Veil, has been somewhat of an epic task. I am currently in the process of condensing the 700 pages of its present text to make room for more vital information regarding my ongoing research. And so, after many years of writing and research, it is subsequently still not ready for publication. I am hoping that this enormous delay will eventually prove its worth. And I thank those who have made enquiries, for their patience and continued interest.

It has been such a comprehensive project! This will mean faster availability for the main information the book was intended to impart. The main theme of the book relates to 'consciousness', and elaborates on the Bodhisattva Path through the vehicle of the Western (Tropical) astrological chart (which includes thousands of asteroids, as well as my unique research involving the eight Transneptunian Points), linking to Yogacara Buddhist psychology, and flower essence therapy; plus a little physics and cosmology, brain science, the human energetic system (astrological associations to the auric fields of consciousness, chakras, and major meridians), and the fundamentals of Traditional Tibetan Medicine (TTM) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as they relate to astrological signatures.

Synopsis

The following is a general overview of the themes and the structure of the book, which itself consists of twenty-two chapters organised within seven distinct Parts, plus a glossary of specialized terms, with an extensive bibliography, and of course an index.

Part One discusses the foundation of the astrological system that I have developed (which I have termed 'Yogacara Astrology', to reflect the direction my research has taken during especially the past twelve years), reducing the present definitions of the known planetary energies (Mercury, Venus, Saturn, etc.) down to their pure essence by first stripping them of their Occidental behavioural connotations.

This section also includes references to aspects of cosmology, physics, and the laws of harmonics within the context of 'matter' and 'consciousness', offering a more scientific explanation for the basis of astrology as a viable system of analysis for mind at all levels. Also included here are new revelations regarding the fundamental and scientific differences between the Eastern (Sidereal) and Western (Tropical) zodiacs. (More technical information on this theme will be included in a separate e-book to be published initially via this site).

Part Two covers the astrological associations to the human energetic system, from the chakras and the major meridians to the physical organs of the body, along with the Eastern approach to the Body-Mind. There are astrological references here coinciding to the fundamentals of Traditional Tibetan Medicine (TTM) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

This section also contains new work I have been developing in regard to understanding the various levels of the auric fields of 'mind' through astrological analysis, and the implications of multiple sets of chakra points. Also, my view of genetic 'inheritance', within an astrological and spiritual context, is presented here.

Part Three elucidates the different aspects of mind and brain and their astrological associations, including my most recent research into the correlations between planetary energies and the ancient Buddhist Yogacara School's philosophy of mind. There is also a section on the more general themes within Mahayana Buddhist psychology (my studies being from the Tibetan slant), all leading to a greater awareness of the matrix of our human consciousness, and our inherent Buddha-nature.

The significance of childhood experiences is viewed here as the direct result of former causes, rather than the ultimate cause of our present condition, and is discussed in relation to our mind-stream ('memory-consciousness'), and the process of reincarnation—including a step by step description of the research I have undertaken with several colleagues to prove reincarnation as a valid process of life.

The evidence I have uncovered for the validity of the rebirth process of the mind-stream is described generally here, and will be elaborated, along with the steps to reproducing the same results, in a forthcoming e-book, again, to be published intially here on this site. This e-book will be particularly valuable to astrologers working in conjunction with kinesiologists and other professionals.

The Buddha-nature and its contrast to our lower functions of 'ground' consciousness is also clarified in a manner that allows us to utilize our past experiences, and even our subconscious memory-stores, as resources for our personal altruistic direction in this current life.

The present state of our personal consciousness is further explained in this section through details of my research incorporating many thousands of asteroids. The techniques I have developed for chart synthesis are dependent upon the multitudes of these orbiting rock-bodies in our Solar System.

Part Four is the largest section of the book, depicting the most exciting area of my work. Since 1988, I have been engrossed in a rather unique investigation of the properties of the eight Transneptunian Points (also known as Uranian Points), which were discovered, through mathematical and astrological techniques, by Alfred Witte and Friedrich Sieggruen in the 1920s.

These special 'Points' have yet to be accepted within astronomical circles, as they have never been physically detected by such probes as Voyager, nor by the Hubble Telescope or the many powerful radar dishes on Earth—only adding further to their mystery. I have found that not only do they most certainly exist as specific points of mobile energy, but the Transneptunians also open up an entirely new spiritual vista within the field of astrology. They provide the central theme for Astrology and the Seventh Veil, and have been the main motivation for me behind its creation.

Also, my extensive research concerning two of the eight Transneptunians, Hades and Admetos, has proven their implication in the manifestation of many life-threatening diseases. Their use in diagnosis at the highest levels of Mind may become indispensable in future times.

I owe a great deal of the success of this research to my clients and students, over the years, who provided the necessary feed-back, suggestions, and questions that led me to my present understanding of not only these eight obscure planetary energies, but also of the wisdom and truth within the science of astrology generally.

Part Five contains a brief history of the evolution of Flower Essence Therapy in the West, especially as it has been influenced by the official discovery of two important planets in the 20th century. It also includes an analysis of the phenomenal elements that comprise flower essences. This is followed by an explanation of how I have been using this modality as the most significant tool for healing the mind-source of diseases of all types, and at all levels of the psyche, based on the diagnosis from the astrological system detailed in the previous sections.

My work, described in Astrology and the Seventh Veil, has essentially incorporated flower essences made by various producers and practitioners from vastly different terrain and climates of the world (a list of these can be found on my Flower Essence Formulas page).

Also discussed here is the significant boost to the healing power of modalities such as flower essences when Medicine Buddha practices are included in the preparation of the healing substances. All prayer, when inspired by true devotion, adds healing properties to any medicine, especially those which contain signifiant amounts of water.

Part Six covers the responsible way in which we may still use current astrological influences for directing our future decisions, but more as opportunities and natural timers for our spiritual development, without seeing the astrological forces (transits) as being 'fatalistic'. This section also illustrates the common cycles of inner growth, instigated by planetary cycles, which we all experience from our birth to the end of our life; and their implications for our personal responsibility in the world.

Part Seven brings us to the conclusion of what the spiritual path actually demands of us now, especially within our Western technological culture. It also addresses particularly pertinent issues and challenges for those of us who feel drawn to working within the 'alternative' holistic healing fields. Regardless of our religion or creed, the Bodhisattva Path, as laid out for us in the Mahayana Buddhist teachings, is a universal path to personal salvation through the vehicle of joyful selfless service in the world. This is quite possibly the only path that will ultimately rescue Western civilization as we have come to know it.

Personal Comments

I have been very excited to find that the new 'science of consciousness', presently emerging in our Western technological culture, is now validating many of the theorems and discoveries I have been writing about in Astrology and the Seventh Veil. My own research into the science of astrology has been possible through the participation of many clients and students over the years, and I am extremely grateful for their contributions to my understanding of the human spiritual dynamic of 'mind'. I will now be able to refer in my own book to many of the new scientific studies being conducted at this time, and perhaps this has had something to do with the delay of its publication. My dream of having astrology finally validated as a genuine science may possibly be moving closer to becoming a reality.

I am also currenty engaged in writing a much smaller e-book on a subject lifted from Seventh Veil, to appear on this site at a (near) future date, before Seventh Veil is published. There are plans already in place for more books to follow Astrology and the Seventh Veil, including another astrology project on Relationship dynamics from a spiritual perspective (combining Composite and Synastry astrology), especially incorporating many relevant asteroids applied to Mahayana Buddhist psychology themes; a series of books may follow, based on specific sets of asteroids; plus another research work focusing on the spiritual implications of the Taoist Bagua (presently employed in Feng Shui from a more earthly/mundane perspective). And hopefully, I will be able to complete a work on Bodhi-Mind Design, which incorporates Astrology with Intuitive Feng Shui principles (see my webpage RedgateFengShui for more details on my orientation). Astrology and the Seventh Veil will be the foundation for these future volumes, which is why it has been necessarily such an immense undertaking!

I am currently stepping up my 'Long-Life' Buddhist practices in the hope that I may be able to complete these other projects before I disappear from view; and am also hoping I will find copies of these books in used-bookstores in my next incarnation so that I may be able to pick up from where I left off !!

(Though, I have a strong sense that in my next life I may be translating Sanskrit and Tibetan texts from a Buddhist monastery in India, Bhutan, or perhaps a free Tibet! If you're looking for me, I'm sure I'll be the monk with Pluto in the 9th House: philosophy books are my biggest 'attachment'. But maybe that's not such a bad thing!)

Notes on Kshitigarbha

'Womb of the Earth' (English)

In Mahayana Buddhism, the only
Bodhisattva to be depicted as a monk.
Kshitigarbha chooses to work in the 'Hell Realms',
to rescue all sentient beings from their deepest suffering.
In his left hand he holds the Cintamani, the 'Wish-Fulfilling Jewel',
and in his right hand he holds a monk's staff surmounted with 3 or 6 rings
being the keys that open the gates to the various realms of our own minds.
