Age 9 (or earlier): Kerrie Redgate's interest in Astrology began from a very early age. She was already studying Ascendants (Rising Signs) by age 9 or possibly earlier, courtesy of a magazine article by Australian astrologer, Richard Sterling. The article contained two colourful wheels that could be cut out and pinned together at the centre to determine the Ascendants for people born in Sydney or Melbourne. Quite innovative!

Age 13: By this time, the world had received the wonderful exposé of Linda Goodman's Sun Signs, a hugely popular book that changed Kerrie's young view of people and life, written by the now late Linda Goodman, a master at describing the defining details of astrological identities through Sun Signs alone.

1976: Kerrie was very fortunate to have been offered private tuition in Cosmobiology (a system of astrology involving Midpoints and 90-degree dials, developed largely in Germany by astrologers Alfred Witte and Reinhold Ebertin) as a serious study, by Australian astrologer Malcolm Utley. Kerrie then spent a great deal of time during the following 9 years observing the effects of the astrological transits she was undergoing, in view of Cosmobiological interpretation.

Also in 1976, Kerrie began a serious study of Taoist philosophy, inspired especially through the Japanese Macrobiotic teachings on food and lifestyle that had developed from Chinese Taoism (being also the foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM). These teachings are still a mainstay for Kerrie today in the art of living. Taoist philosophy also influenced Kerrie's earlier work with astrology, and still forms a part of the background tapestry of the chart.

1985: Kerrie began studying astrology within a formal 2-year course with Garry Wiseman (pictured below right, with Kerrie & diploma), an Australian astrologer with a uniquely positive approach in interpretation within the Tropical Zodiac system of astrology, plus innovative insights for determining career prospects in the astrology chart. Garry also encouraged Kerrie to teach astrology that year by giving her the opportunity to teach his own Beginners Classes while she was still studying in his more advanced class. This was indispensible to her development as a future astrology teacher.

Garry Wiseman's students were also very fortunate especially during the 1985-86 era when Garry was active in bringing many talented international astrologers to Australia, providing a smorgasbord of astrological techniques and innovations. It was a highly inspiring time.

1986: Kerrie graduated from Garry Wiseman's New Age School of Astrology course. She also received a small inheritance that year which had been previously delayed for five years. This was perfect timing for Kerrie to buy her first computer and begin to calculate charts without copious amounts of mathematical gymnastics! Kerrie was also able to be attuned to two levels of Reiki that year, which increased her intuition for astrology in manifold ways.

Due to Garry Wiseman's initial inspiration as a teacher, Kerrie has continued to be an astrological researcher to this day, especially delving into the areas of Buddhist philosophy; reincarnation; the use of multiple asteriods; a new approach to Retrograde planets and to the Vertex Axis; and most importantly her exclusive research into the higher dimension of the Transneptunian Points.

This eventually led to Kerrie developing her own system of astrology incorporating ancient Yogacara Buddhist psychology (Kerrie has been a practising Buddhist in the Tibetan tradition officially since 1996 - see Kerrie's Personal Reiki History page).

1987: Kerrie begins to investigate the new planetoid Chiron, with the help of Barbara Hand-Clow's extraordinary insights in her book, Chiron: The Rainbow Bridge Between Inner and Outer Planets, which had only just been published. This began a new spiritual emphasis in Kerrie's work with astrology and attracted some extraordinary clients.

Also that year Kerrie received a great deal of channelled information from a well-respected Australian medium. This involved a series of Kerrie's past-life scenarios and challenges that related directly to the karmic processes of her present life. Little did Kerrie suspect at that time that she was receiving the foundation for her future explorations into the scientific proof of reincarnation via Kinesiology and Astrological analysis utilising thousands of asteroids, plus historical investigations. The channelled information has been confirmed many times over and through associations with pertinent individuals and their own birth charts. (This research will be covered in a forthcoming e-book Kerrie is presently working on, before the publication of her larger work 'Astrology and the Seventh Veil'. 1988: Kerrie gave her first astrological lecture at SARS (the Sydney Astrological Research Society) in Sydney. The topic was "Psychic Healers". This was the first piece of Kerrie's research to emerge: she had discovered some astounding links between certain asteroids and the planetoid Chiron in the birth chart, which consistently resulted in extraordinary healing powers for the subjects concerned. (This information will be included in Kerrie's forthcoming book, Astrology and the Seventh Veil.

This was also the year that Kerrie began her uniquely-oriented research into the effects of the mysterious Transneptunian Points, discoverd in the 1920s by German astrologers Alfred Witte and Friedrich Siegrun. This research has now become a major focus within Kerrie's book.

1990-1991: Kerrie served for these 2 years on the NSW Committee of the FAA (Federation of Australian Astrologers), initiating and operating a successful fund-raising project for the branch. This involved Kerrie recording the monthly Astrology lectures and workshops, of both visiting and local astrologers, at the Sydney-based NSW FAA venue so that cassette recordings of these talks could be sold cheaply to non-Sydney and Interstate FAA members who would have otherwise been deprived of the great diversity in the astrology teachings presented. This project was also made possible by the generous donation of the recording content by both overseas and local astrology lecturers.

1991: Kerrie successfully taught her first short course in her Spiritual Astrology system in a room within a book shop in Cronulla in Sydney, Australia. This was at the request of the proprietor, via one of her staff, both of whom certainly had astrologically verifiable Karmic Agreements with Kerrie.

Also in 1991, Kerrie psychically (and without warning!) "downloaded" the title for her forthcoming book, though she had no details at that time of the subject matter! The inspiraton was accompanied by a vision of the cover image. Again, it was years later that Kerrie was able to interpret the meaning!

1992: After the success of her first astrology course, Kerrie began teaching many concurrent two-year courses of her Spiritual Astrology system in various areas of Sydney (Cronulla in the south, Kirribilli in the centre, Manly in the east, and Turrumurra in the north; and later in Cammeray), from 1991 through 1997 (before she left Sydney to focus on writing her book), as well as teaching a condensed version later in Canberra.

Also, that year, Kerrie Redgate was the only astrologer to speak at the 3rd International Flower Essence Conference, held in Manly (Sydney) NSW, Australia.

It was at this conference that Kerrie met her first co-researcher, kinesiologist Sarah West, who devised a kinesiology process to attain accurate birth times to the second! Sarah also pioneered kinesiology in the service of procuring accurate past-life information based on the more general scenarios present in the astrological charts of Kerrie's clients. This began a highly productive era! And several kinesiologists followed on from Sarah's work when she retired to further other vocational pursuits.

This was also the year when Kerrie discovered the brain-teasing books of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche (in a north-shore book shop owned by a friend who had been responsible for her being able to run her first astrology course at Cronulla, in the south, the previous year!). Kerrie then began to study Tibetan Buddhism quite seriously, which had a powerful impact on her astrological work and personal life.

1993: This was the year that Kerrie undertook more thorough studies in Feng Shui, which reflected her life-long interest in Interior Design (stimulated originally by her mother's talents and Kerrie's serious Art studies; and finally by the Australian tour of Intuitive Feng Shui expert William Spear in 1993, via Roger Green who sparked the Western recognition of Feng Shui).

Kerrie immediately recognised the benefits of linking Bagua Feng Shui principles, as a psychological tool, to Astrology, augmenting the healing of clients' self-sabotage patterns visible in their home and office environments. For the following 5 years from 1993, Feng Shui assessments became a regular feature of Kerrie's extended astrology sessions. (It is now offered as a more comprehensive optional service, that includes astrological diagnosis, as RedgateFengShui, but can also be offered effectively without the astrology for house sales or for those not interested in astrological diagnosis. 1994: Kerrie was approached by a well-established publishing house (via suggestions from one of her clients who is an author) to produce a Table of Contents and samples of her book ideas. This began the process of further serious astrological research (even though the publishing house was not to be "the one". It was very early days. (And yes, there was a significant Karmic Agreement evident between the astrologial birth charts of Kerrie and the Editor, as well as between Kerrie and her successful author-client!). And so, the Table of Contents was born—the first commitment!

1996: A deeper connection was made to the Buddhist philosophy and study of its various levels of psychology when Kerrie took Buddhist Vows in September 1996, committing to the Buddhist way of life. (More on this in Kerrie's Reiki Bio page).

1998: Kerrie shut down her business and left Sydney to begin writing her first (aforementioned) book in the Southern Highlands of NSW, where, through the assistance of her father, she was able to devote 18 hours a day to writing and researching. A process that indeed led her down a rabbit hole of discovery, deepening her astrological research into areas she'd had no previous expectations of exploring. The book is in its 13th year now, and still expanding! Though other sections may need to be drastically cut to make room for a relatively more concise exposé.

Also in 1998, another miraculous Karmic Agreement occurred when Kerrie's 5-year-old computer died and was replaced (and significantly upgraded!) free of charge by a highly responsible and ethical computer company. Without this gift, and under those current circumstances, the book would never have been started.

1999: The publication of Ian White's book, Australian Bush Flower Healing containing a chapter written by Kerrie, entitled 'The Astrology of an Essence', describing the astrological birth chart for the first batch of Ian's Alpine Mint Bush flower essence, which proved to dovetail remarkably with the properties already witnessed from the use of the essence. Apart from English, this book has now also been published in the German, Portuguese, and Italian languages.

2002: Kerrie left the Southern Highlands and moved to Canberra to continue writing and further her Buddhist studies with Lama Choedak Rinpoche (pictured right). Kerrie officially reaffirmed her 1996 Buddhist vows there and received the Tibetan Dharma Name Changchub Dolma from Lama Choedak Rinpoche. (Dolma is the Tibetan translation of Tara, and, yes, the asteroid Tara is significantly placed in Kerrie's astrological birth chart!)

2006: Kerrie Redgate was interviewed extensively in two full-length episodes of Conversations With Robyn (see wasabitv.com.au for online viewing and downloads) on Australian TV (both episodes having recently screened on Foxtel's Aurora station). Two brief clips from those interviews can be seen on the TV Interviews page of this site, as well as on YouTube, SPIRITube, Weekend Workshops, and other video sites around the world. Complete episodes of Kerrie's interviews will also be available to watch here on this website soon.

Over the years, Kerrie has also been interviewed on several Australian radio programs (dates have been forgotten). She has also lectured to other metaphysical and healing groups, including the 3rd International Flower Essence Conference, and has written published articles for international magazines (some of which appear on the Articles page of this site). Kerrie is currently writing and researching a series of books on astrology, Buddhist psychology, flower essences and consciousness, with emphasis on the Bodhisattva Path.
