Who Can Register for This Course?

Firstly, please consider: this is not a full course in astrology!
Please see my Living With Exceptional Purpose course,

The Asteroid Course is an adjunct to one's own studies of astrology and takes this science to the next level. The asteroids are the 'body-text' of the astrology chart.

This course has been designed for anyone with a deep interest in astrology, from students to professional astrologers. Assistance will be given in being able to utilise the information for many varied styles of astrology with only a few new practical guidelines to adopt.

You do not need to live in Australia. Anyone with a computer-device and internet capability will be able to avail herself/himself of these classes in the near future.

The only possible restriction is that the classes will be offered only in English (both spoken and written) at this stage.

Why Asteroids? What Do They Offer?

... If you're not using asteroids, you're guessing!

As an astrologer, I began working with asteroids in the mid-1980s. My first inspiration was Demetra George through her book, 'Asteroid Goddesses', and her lecture at an Australian conference during that time. I then began to buy small sets of asteroid files from Mark Pottenger, and devoured Jacob Schwartz's book, 'The Asteroid Name Encyclopedia'. The asteroids were working marvellously in my clients charts! And I became ever-more fascinated with exploring their possibilities.

Asteroids can vary in size from around 900km in diameter down to rocks and boulders. They are not fragments of a once-exisiting planet, but instead are pieces of debris left over from the supernova explosion that created our solar system. These pieces, largely orbiting between Mars and Jupiter (where the Titius-Bode Law predicts there should be another planet), could not form into a single body, as the gravitational field of Jupiter was too strong when pulling against that of the Sun.

I personally prefer to think of this effect as a disharmonious sound resonance that prevented the natural coagulation of the pieces.

It was not until January 1st 1801 that a small (only 950km diameter) spherical body was found in a regular orbit in that approximate vicinity by astronomer Giuseppe Piazzi at Palermo in Sicily. He named it Ceres after Sicily's original patron goddess.

Many more asteroids were discovered in the years to follow, and continue to be discovered to this day! Thousands of asteroids have pedictable orbits just as the planets do. There are a number of astrological software programs available for asteroid calculation, to handle up to 15,000 named asteroids. So what do asteroids do for an astrology chart?

As each asteroid has its own orbital frequency, dependant on its exact distance from the sun, each one affects our brain patterning in its own way. Each frequency creates/triggers a unique thought-form in the brain.

What this means for us is that asteroids fill in the gaps of information only suggested by the planets. Each planet is very general: Venus, for example, can relate to our personal relationships, our attitudes to the Arts (and this is all of the Arts in general), to the notion of fairness (the Law), to balance (physical, numerical as in accounting, colour balance as in design or healing, etc). The rest of the chart can give us some clues, but the real detail is missing.

For a client with a lack of confidence in his own creative talent, finding links in his Venus-laden chart to asteroids such as 'Jimmypage', 'Rolling Stones', 'Santana', etc, can assist him to realise he is destined to follow these icons of Rock music history.

Another musician may have an abundance of classical musicians in her chart, all making significant aspects within the natural pattern of her chart.

Asteroids can help with any type of interpretation, whether practical, psychological, spiritual, career-based, mundane, even financial. They can also be used with skill in Electional Charts, Horary Charts, Relocation Charts, even Cosmobiology. And they are superlative for Past-Life information.

How many asterioids can we use in one chart?

As many as you can handle to relate the unfolding story! Or many concurrent stories! I have often used up to 200 in a lengthy in-depth session. After my own past-life investigations (another story!), I had a chart that was completely filled with relevant asteroids—and I mean the entire A4 page was covered, not just the chart!

Asteroids also work in Synastry and Composite charts, revealing often long-term, specific past-life connections between individuals.

Once you begin to work with asteroids, the astrology chart will seem empty without them!

The Benefits For You

Apart from the obvious benefit to yourself of a richer evaluation of your own chart, your astrology work for clients will deepen and become much more rewarding with the addition of asteroid information. Asteroids can assist your intuition, taking the guess-work out of your chart interpretations by validating your own intuitive hunches.

Your clients will also be able to relate more easily to any new information you are imparting to assist them, when they can see an asteroid with a pertinent name in their own charts.

Quite apart from the practical astrological benefits from working with asteroids, there is an unusual added bonus for you:

Basic Course Structure & exclusive e-Books

For physically-present students, The Asteroid Course will involve full-day Sunday workshops (10am to 5:30pm), one every 4 weeks. Each workshop includes 6 hours of tuition plus two 15-minute tea breaks and an hour's lunch break

Each workshop module will cover, in detail, one category file of asteroids (occasionally, a large subject may need to span two classes). A great deal of information will be given on each topic; plus, after each class, there will be an exclusive companion e-Book available—for download for students only.

This is an open-ended on-going course, as there are so many asteroids to cover, and I have already organised thousands of asteroids into more than 300 category files!

As this is not a basic astrology course, and students will need to be familiar with basic astrological techniques, New Students may be accepted at any time during the course, and there is no obligation for students to attend every class, though I recommend that attending as many as possible will greatly increase one's ability to assist others, and will also enhance one's knowledge of the world.

This is an open-ended course, as I have enough material for about 35 years of study!! Preference for future places will be given to those who attend regularly.

Parking & Transport:

PARKING: There are a limited number of 2-hour car spaces behind the venue (entrance from Beattie St). But you will need to be quick and have some good parking karma! We will take breaks in time for you to check/move your car.
Most of the on-street parking in Darling St, Balmain, is metered, so please arrive early as you will need to explore the side streets for parking.
Handy note: if you are driving along Victoria Rd from the south, you cannot make a right-hand turn into Darling St, so use Robert St near White Bay to get into Balmain (it's a short-cut as well). You can also use the traffic lights intersection at Evans St on Victoria Rd further up instead, if you miss it.
You also can't turn right leaving Darling St into Victoria Rd if heading north on the way home, so take Elliott off Darling, and then Terry St.

BUSES: There are four buses from the city: 442 (stops very near the centre in Darling St),
441 stops just before the lights at the top of Montague St at the Darling St intersection (the centre is a short stroll down Darling to your right)
444 & 445 stop in Darling St near the centre.

Local Specialty Cafes:

Rozelle and Balmain have always been esteemed for their specialty cafes and restaurants. Should you want to have lunch in Rozelle or Balmain before the class begins, there are many varied cafes to choose from, including Iku in Rozelle.
And of course Beyond the Ordinary is an exotic tea house, itself, with comfortable couches and wonderfully healing teas.

Starting Date:

The course is ongoing and, after registration, you can join us at any time. It will run on Sundays, once every 4 weeks, in 2011 and 2012 in Sydney.
Each workshop module will begin at 10am and end at 5:30pm.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes early by 9:55am to settle and meet the other students.
There will be two 15-minute tea-breaks and a 1-hour lunch break during each workshop. (Please avail yourself of the wonderful healing teas available at the venue, 'Beyond the Ordinary'.)

There is no obligation for you to attend all classes, but the information, and opportunity to work with it through your own chart, will be worthwhile and will not be repeated.

A distance-study program wil be available in the near future for those who cannot participate in-house.

Fees & Discounts; & What You Will Get

Basic Fee:

The fee per each full-day workshop, including the exclusive accompanying e-book, is AU$110*, paid in advance.
Credit/Debit card payments can be made through this website, or arrangements can be made for bank transfers/deposits.

What You Will Get:

• This fee includes the exclusive downloadable e-Books for each workshop module you attend, to assist with your own study, and as a handy reference for your future work with asteroids
• It is an open-ended course and there is no obligation to attend every module (though I recommend you avail yourself of this information as often as you can—this is an unique course, and modules will not be repeated at the same location but Distance Study can be arranged)
• As a regular series, the modules will be run every 4th-week
• You will also receive an emailed txt file of your 11,200+ Named Asteroids in zodiac order before the first class (should this list be updated during the course while you are still in attendance, you will receive a new file at no extra cost)
• There are no qualifications associated with this course, as it is an adjunct to the style of astrology you are already practising or studying, though a certification for Attendance can be arranged should you need it.
